Have you learned the basics? Can you take basic images and edit photos but want more?
This course is aimed at someone who has either completed the Your Digital Camera and Learning to Take Digital Images course or is comfortable with basic photography and wants to improve.
In this course you will learn about semi-automatic and manual modes on cameras, the effects of the shutter, aperture and ISO on images and the Exposure Triangle. You will learn more advanced composition skills and more advanced techniques to improve images on your computer. You will also learn about some of the gadgets that go with your camera, what is nice to have and what is essential.

- Camera modes
- Shutter, aperture and ISO
- The exposure triangle
- Tips to improve your photos
- Camera accessories
- More advanced editing techniques
You will need a digital camera for some aspects of the course or a smartphone with a digital camera attached. You will be able to use your own images on the course or the one’s supplied by the tutor. To load your images onto the computer you will need your camera’s USB cable or a card reader. Neither are required in week one.
This will be a practical course with hands on use of your camera.
