This course is for all levels of experience of yoga. It's a great class to help you stay fit and mobile, it will help with relaxation, reduce aches and pains, and help maintain muscle strength and general fitness.

For the first session students will need;   a  blanket , we do have some yoga mats available to use, or you can bring your own along.

This yoga class offers a gentle, low impact form of exercise ideal for older age groups.

The course will cover  A warm up to prepare your body for the class.  The stretch phase will cover all the gentle yoga poses, working on different areas of your body.  Breathing techniques and relaxation at the end of the class so you can fully concentrate.

Please also complete the health questionnaire and bring it with you to the first session if you haven't done one previously

Sandra McNerney

Sandra has one key goal in her yoga classes and that’s to ensure that you can’t wait to get on you mat and enjoy your practice. She believes yoga should be a highlight in our day; not another thing on our to do list. If you love your yoga, you’ll practice regularly; if you practice regularly, you’ll feel the amazing benefits of yoga in your body and mind.

Creating a warm, welcoming space for beginners and seasoned yogis alike, Sandra offers a complete yoga experience including breathing exercises, sequences to mobilise and strengthen, balance postures and deep guided relaxation. She’ll always offer plenty of modifications to ensure postures are accessible and safe for everyone.

Sandra is a qualified 200-hour Hatha Yoga teacher, accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals UK. She runs Hope Yoga Harrogate and has a special interest in making yoga inclusive and accessible for all. She is also a qualified Teen Yoga teacher and has completed additional training in teaching pregnant students in mainstream classes.
