This course is for:

This gentle yoga course is designed for beginners who are looking to explore the basics of yoga and improve their overall well-being. Whether you’re new to yoga or wish to revisit its foundational principles, this course will guide you in a supportive, inclusive and welcoming environment.

What to Bring:

For the first session, all you need is a yoga mat (we have spares if needed) and comfortable clothes that allow you to stretch. You may also want to bring a blanket for relaxation at the end of each class.

Course Goals:

This course will introduce you to the foundations of yoga, including simple postures (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama), and mindfulness practices such as meditation. You’ll learn how to reconnect with your body, breath, and mind, while gently improving flexibility, strength, and balance.

The sessions are designed to help you develop a sustainable yoga practice that supports both your physical and emotional well-being, giving you the confidence to enjoy yoga both on and off the mat. By the end of the course, you'll feel empowered to join other yoga classes in your community.

Rachael Ball Yoga

Rachael Ball - Yoga

I’m Rachael, mum of three, special needs teacher and passionate yogi. My personal journey into yoga began following a period of mental illness. Through my practice, I have found refuge on my mat, reconnecting with my body with curiosity and compassion. When I’m not teaching or practising yoga, I enjoy running, walking, paddleboarding and adventures with my family.
I love the playful exploration of a vinyasa flow and relish the opportunity to surrender to stillness within a yin practice. In my classes expect lots of dynamic movement and juicy stretches. Through challenging postures, I explore the ability of the breath to soothe and cultivate resilience. I like to finish each class with a guided meditation to support a gentle surrender to stillness. I hope to provide a safe and nurturing space in which we can celebrate and compassionately re-connect with our unique bodies and breath.
