This course aims to :Develop confidence and ability to create environmentally friendly designs suitable for the home also looking how they can be designed on a larger scale. We will focus on using containers from home , foraged materials and seasonal flowers to depict current trends and designs . Colour and form will be the principles of design we will focus on. Several designs will follow occasions in the Floristry calendar such as Mother’s Day and Easter .

 Additional Costs:The cost of the course does not include flowers and greenery you will need to bring these to the course. Each week you will receive an e mail covering learning Points and outlining what you will require to bring for the next class. You will receive information on what to bring to the first class. All you need is something to practice with no need to buy expensive flowers. All wires/ tapes / chicken wire and some other items are supplied in class. You can bring your own secateurs or I wil provide you with some to borrow if preferred.

Elaine Hadfield

Elaine Hadfield

Elaine has an honours degree in Primary Teaching and a Diploma in floristry from Askham Bryan College graded distinction. After working for a few years in a popular local florists shop learning all aspects of floristry she taught classes to both adults and children as well as successfully working as a freelance florist on weddings , events and working with a variety of florists. Wedding cake speciality work was undertaken designing floral decorations for a local company. Elaine is very excited about sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with students at Rossett School.
