Spanish Advanced 1 - Conversation and Grammar

In this advanced Spanish class, students will typically focus on refining their language skills and deepening their understanding of both the language and culture. 

This course will include some grammar, vocabulary expansion (focussing on idiomatic expressions and understanding colloquial and formal registers).Enrichment of specialized vocabulary in areas such as politics, literature, science, business, and culture.

Role-playing and simulations of real-world situations.

Listening to a variety of authentic materials, such as news broadcasts, podcasts, films, and interviews.

Reading more complex texts, including literary works, newspaper articles etc.

Discussion of regional differences in customs, expressions and language usage.

Cultural understanding:  exploration of important historical figures and events from the Spanish-speaking world.

 And lots and lots of Spanish practice!
