This beginner sewing course is designed for anyone eager to learn the essentials of sewing from scratch. Through hands-on projects and guided instruction, you will gain foundational skills in sewing, including how to thread and operate a sewing machine, understand fabric types,  and master basic stitches and techniques.

No prior experience is needed - just bring your enthusiasm, creativity and a beginner sewing project (incl. pattern) and suitable fabric of your choice. Alternatively, we can provide you with a pre-selected project/ pattern such as a tote or shoulder bag, pillow case or fabric baskets or bunting.

 What You Will Learn:

  • Sewing machine setup, safety and maintenance
  • Basic stitches (straight, zigzag, backstitch, etc.
  • Fabric selection and cutting techniques
  • Essential sewing tools and how to use them
  • Into to patterns and simple alterations (optional)
  • Upcycle projects (optional)

Perfect for beginners, this course is the first step in a rewarding and creative journey into sewing. If you have a sewing machine please bring it in.
