This course is suitable for students who have already studied some basic German. The course will enable you to:
- Understand and use sentences and commonly used expressions associated with everyday topics, e.g. personal information, family, shopping, work etc.
- Accept or decline invitations and make arrangements in everyday conversation
- Handle short social exchanges to make yourself understood in simple, routine situations
- Read short texts and newspaper articles in German to identify key information
- Use different tenses to talk about what you have done and what you are planning to do.
- Students are not required to purchase a textbook for this course.
