This course is suitable for beginners/ intermediate level .  

The course follows current trends using environmentally friendly methods. It is aimed at floristry for the home but many students use their skills for gifts and events.

This course aims to:

This course aims to develop floristry skills underpinned by the principles of design with a focus on seasonal flowers , colours and textures producing a variety of arrangements and an autumnal wreath suitable for the home.

Additional costs :

Students are expected to purchase their own flowers and greenery each week . Seasonal foliage and flowers are suitable and can be sourced from the garden and countryside where possible. Please bring a pair of secateurs if you have some from home. Wires, tape, ribbons, chicken wire and other floristry items will be provided  the cost of the course . Each week you will receive an email with learning points from the previous week and a list of what to bring in the next class.

Elaine Hadfield

Elaine Hadfield

Elaine has an honours degree in Primary Teaching and a Diploma in floristry from Askham Bryan College graded distinction. After working for a few years in a popular local florists shop learning all aspects of floristry she taught classes to both adults and children as well as successfully working as a freelance florist on weddings , events and working with a variety of florists. Wedding cake speciality work was undertaken designing floral decorations for a local company. Elaine is very excited about sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with students at Rossett School.
