A chance for those who already have some linocut skills to enhance and extend their printing experience. Each week we will look at a linocut artist for inspiration and learn from their techniques. We will have a look at key block, transverse printing, lino etch and reduction cut as well as revisiting basic techniques.

Shaeron Caton Rose

I am an artist working mainly in Printmaking and Installation and have exhibited across Yorkshire for about 30 years. I have a degree and an MA in Printmaking and have a wide print knowledge including linocut, collagraph, drypoint, silkscreen, lithograph, and textiles printing. I have taught painting, drawing and print to adults for many years in Leeds, Bradford and Knaresborough. I work part time as a Workshop Leader in Printmaking at Henshaw’s Arts & Crafts Centre and as a Social Artist, delivering community art projects in Bradford and Leeds. I also run Art & Wellbeing retreats with fellow artist Linda Baines as part of ReCreate. I write a monthly online art meditation for Leeds Methodist Mission and have also written a book Soul Art which will be published by Wild Goose Publications in 2021.
